Article 1: Organisers
BRUSSELS MAJOR EVENTS (BME), whose registered office is located at Grand Place 1, 1000 Brussels, and whose offices are located at rue de la Madeleine 51, 1000 Brussels, is organising a competition via a newsletter sent from the BXL TOUR email address () on the occasion of the 6th edition of the BXL TOUR which takes place on 19 June 2022 (hereafter "the Competition")
This email is sent to those who have approved the sending of such a newsletter when registering for the 2021 edition of the race.
These Rules set out the general conditions applicable to this Competition.
Article 2: Prize
The Prize awarded for this contest is:
- A unisex short-sleeved cycling jersey branded with the colours of the BXL TOUR and a ticket to participate in the 6th edition of the BXL TOUR on 19 June 2022.
In the context of this competition, 1 winner of the above-mentioned prize will be chosen in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in these rules.
Subject to Article 6, under no circumstances may the prize be replaced or exchanged for cash.
Article 3: Participation terms and conditions
Participation in the competition is open to any individual of adult age and aged over 14 years, excluding the Competition organisers, their employees, and any persons who collaborated in the development of the Competition.
Members of the family (in the first degree) of the persons referred to in the preceding paragraph as well as persons living under their roof are also excluded from the Competition.
Participation in the Competition implies full acceptance of these Rules. All Participants are deemed to have read, understood and accepted them in their entirety and without reservation.
Article 4: Terms of participation
Subject to Article 3, in order to participate in the Competition the person invited to participate must before midnight on 11 May 2022 (the closing date of the competition) send a text consisting of a maximum of 35 words on the subject of their experience at the BXL TOUR during the 2021 edition.
This commentary should be sent to the following email address: , with the subject line "BXL TOUR 2021 Testimonials Competition."
Entries in any other form or sent after the deadline will not be accepted.
Participation is strictly personal and nominative. Under no circumstances can the same person enter several times using several email addresses. In the event of multiple entries by the same person using different identities, all entries will be rejected and be considered invalid. In general, any abuse, fraud or cheating may result in exclusion.
The organisers reserve the right to judge the relevance of each testimonial and if necessary to exclude from participation in the draw those which may contain inappropriate remarks.
Article 5: Determination and announcement of the result
The competition prize shall be awarded to the participant who satisfies the conditions referred to in Articles 3 and 4 of these Rules and who is randomly drawn from among the pool.
The announcement of the winner will be made no later than 5:00 p.m. on Monday 16 May 2022 by email personally addressed to the winner in response to the email with which they entered the Competition.
The winner’s name and testimonial will be published on the Facebook® page and the Instagram account of the BXL TOUR.
Article 6: Claiming of the prize
In the email referred to in Article 5, the organisers will inform the winner of the terms for awarding the prize as set out in Article 2 of these rules.
The Prize may not give rise to any dispute of any kind, nor to the granting of a cash equivalent, nor to exchange or replacement for any reason whatsoever. It cannot be transferred.
Without prejudice to the foregoing, the size of the jersey constituting the prize may be adapted to the needs of the winner, while a winner who has already personally purchased a ticket for the 2022 edition of the BXL TOUR may have it refunded in accordance with the procedure which will be notified to them when the result of the Competition is announced.
Article 7: Cost of participation
The Competition is free of charge and without obligation to purchase.
All costs which may arise from participation in the competition are entirely at the participant’s expense. Under no circumstances may participants claim participation costs from the organiser.
Article 8: Publication of testimonials
Participants waive any intellectual property rights to the text containing their testimonial which they have submitted to the competition.
Insofar as necessary, these rights are assigned to the organiser, which includes all modes of exploitation (right of reproduction, including the right of adaptation and the right of translation, the right of communication to the public and the right of secondary use for all modes of exploitation, for any medium, any format and for the entire duration of the intellectual property).
In particular, participants expressly agree that their text may be published in whole or in part on the Facebook® and Instagram® pages of the BXL TOUR and that it may be translated in this context if so required.
Participants whose testimonials have been selected for publication will be notified by email the day before publication.
Article 9: Liability
The organisers cannot be held liable for any direct or indirect damage, whatever the cause, origin, nature or consequences, resulting from:
– a malfunction of the Internet network or computer equipment, including the platform and application (hardware and/or software and/or databases and/or data) of a participant or any person or company involved in the organisation of the Competition or, more generally, of any other problem related to the networks, (tele)communications means and services, computers (online or offline), servers, Internet access and/or hosting providers, computer equipment or software, databases and data of any person whatsoever;
– any manufacturing defect, breakdown or other malfunction of all or part of the elements making up the offered Prize or any fault, failure or act of any kind in connection with a service included in the Prize, as well as any event beyond its control.
If the organisers must postpone, cancel or interrupt the Competition for reasons beyond their control, they cannot be held responsible in any way.
In no event shall the organisers be held liable for any costs or damages which may arise as a result of the awarding of the offered Prize, nor for any defects or failures of the latter.
Article 10: Personal data
Personal data collected in the context of this Competition will be processed for the purpose of verifying that the conditions for participation referred to in Article 3 of these Rules are met, in order to notify the winners and to award them the Prize.
They will be stored and used for the time necessary to achieve the above legitimate objective. Any use for other purposes requires the express consent of the Participant.
The Participant has the right to request at any time from the organisers access to personal data concerning them, its rectification or in certain cases its deletion, or to oppose its processing via the email address .
For any questions relating to the exercise of these rights, the Participant may contact the organising association at the address given in Article 1 of these rules or via the email address: .
The organisers may utilise, in particular for the purpose of proving any act, fact or omission, software, data, files, recordings, operations and other elements of a computer or electronic format, nature or medium, established, received or kept directly or indirectly by it or the Participants, except in the case of abuse or manifest error.
Participants undertake not to contest the admissibility, validity or probative value of the above-mentioned elements in computer or electronic format or medium. Thus, the elements in question constitute evidence and, if they are produced as evidence by the organisers in any litigious or other proceedings, they will be admissible and enforceable between the Parties in the same way, under the same conditions and with the same probative force as any document established, received or kept in writing.
Except in the cases set out in these Rules, the organisers will not contact the participants in any way, either during or after the Competition.
The Competition organizers reserve the right to modify its implementation or its conduct if unforeseeable circumstances or circumstances beyond their control so justify it. They cannot be held responsible if the Competition is interrupted, postponed or cancelled for reasons beyond their control. Participants will not be entitled to any compensation.

Participation in the Competition implies unconditional acceptance of these Rules, and no dispute relating to them will be taken into consideration.
Any complaint relating to this Competition must be sent in writing within a maximum of 7 working days following the selection of the winner to the address of the organising association’s offices. Under no circumstances will complaints be dealt with orally or by telephone. Complaints not made in writing and/or lodged after the deadline will not be processed.
These Rules are subject to Belgian law and any dispute relating to their application and, more generally, to the organisation of the Competition it covers falls within the jurisdiction of the courts of Brussels.
In the event of any difficulty which may arise in connection with the Competition or the application of these Rules, all participants undertake to attempt to find an amicable solution with the Organisers before taking any legal action against them.
