Now celebrating its 10th edition, this iconic event has become a must of the Brussels spring calendar. Since 2017, BXL TOUR has brought together thousands of participants every year. More than a sporting event, it’s an experience to enjoy together. With friends, family or colleagues, everyone rides at their own pace with one simple goal: enjoying the moment. No matter your cycling level, what really matters are the memories you create along the way.
An experience designed for every level
Cycling through Brussels without cars changes everything! On a fully traffic-free route of 32 or 40 kilometres, you’ll discover the city under exceptional conditions.

Taking part in BXL TOUR is also about setting yourself a personal challenge and making it all the way to the finish line. And the sense of achievement is incredible.
BXL TOUR offers several categories so everyone can enjoy the experience their own way.
Ride Category (32 km)
The most accessible format, perfect for:
- sportive beginners
- groups of friends
- motivated families
- e-bike participants
Here, it’s not about performance or timing: it’s all about enjoying the experience.
Cyclo Category (40 km)
For those looking for a bigger challenge, with several sub-categories depending on your minimum average speed.
In practice:
- 20–25 km/h: perfect for beginners with good fitness
- 25–30 km/h: for more experienced riders with strong cardio and solid legs
- 30 km/h and above: for ambitious cyclists ready to push the pace
Master Category (40 km)
For semi-professional cyclists who hold a license from a cycling federation, are accustomed to riding in a peloton, and can maintain a steady pace while riding in a group.
Paracycling (40 km)
For para-cyclists who can cover 40 km at an average speed of at least 25 km/h.

Rediscover Brussels differently
07:00: Everything starts in the heart of Brussels at Place des Palais. As soon as you arrive at the start village, the atmosphere begins to build. Final bike adjustments, warm-ups and first words of encouragement set the tone for the day ahead.
Between 09:00 and 09:50, it’s time for the START! Energised by the crowd and the atmosphere, you push your first pedal strokes and ride into Brussels.
Along the route, you’ll experience:
- Place des Palais brought to life by the spectacular start of thousands of cyclists
- The Cinquantenaire and the dive into the tunnels, always a special moment
- Bois de la Cambre, the green oasis in the south of Brussels
- Brussels’ major avenues lined with remarkable architecture
- the Royal Castle of Laeken during the Tissot Sprint section (if you’re not riding too fast)
- and finally… the Atomium appearing as an iconic symbol as you approach the finish line
A festive finish to celebrate the effort!
Crossing the finish line at the foot of the Atomium is much more than simply completing the route.
You’ll enter a lively and welcoming finish village with entertainment, music and food stands where participants gather to share the emotions and highlights of the day.
